A Game which lost it's 'spirit' in recent days..!

This morning I was just going through some of my collections, in my last trip to UP, I had been to couple of places in Amethi and Rae Bareli districts, it was amazing to see that there were two kids playing cricket at a residential area, they used the space in front of some shopping blocks. For a moment I enjoyed watching them, they were only two and were turning themselves as batsman and a bowler as they left with no choice . There were no restrictions of the game, no power play, no umpire and the best part is there was no technology in the game yet they were happy. The most important part in this kids play was ‘no betting’. Just recollect the instances of those who excelled in ‘betting’ while started their passion and dream to become a ‘world class cricketer’. Friends, cricket or any other sport is a simple activity and one should enjoy like these kids , I again recollect a quote by a famous film director in one of the TV shows, it goes.. “Don’t be so attached to the result...

The People I met - August 26, 2011

Facilitator (Trainer) in an NGO, Lucknow. I never forget the day when I have visited one of the centers in UP on August 26, 2011. I have drawn so much inspiration after meeting one of the trainers on that day. Meeting people and knowing something about them is always fun for me and I enjoy doing so. I always feel blessed being in this organisation that I have so much access to reach people across the country to learn something new from them and share with the world. I have read somewhere that ‘sharing always doubles one's knowledge’ , since then I have been sharing what I have learnt from different sources like; books, training programs and especially from different people whom I met. I am content in this journey. It was my first visit to the training centers in UP,  I noticed that some of our facilitators were chewing tobacco and for them it was quite common in UP. Among four of them three were habituated to tobacco. I understood the intensity of their habit, I felt to do some...

The People I met - July 26, 2011

Mr. Maqbool, a cab driver, Hyderabad Tension deneka magar leneka nai , in a typical hyderabadi accent he expresses and believes in such living style. I was just curious to know about him and for how long he has been in this profession. He remembered the coincidences of his life, he started driving taxi since 1986 when the movie pyaar kiya hai pyaar karenge got released. He also remembered one of the famous songs from that movie. Since then he is enjoying his life being a taxi driver. Maqbool, 41, a jolly type person lives in Golkonda, Hyderabad. He fulfilled his responsibilities of settling the lives of his siblings as he believed his responsibility to fulfil.   Now, he is leading a happy life with his wife and four kids. For him life is something which is very small and should be lived without any tensions. Being a taxi driver for the past 25 years he says, “I always tried to live life in a simpler way, which delights me a lot, one of my living policies is not to be angry ...

Intention..!

It was a conversation between me and one of my siblings, we were discussing about the behavioural aspects of people. The question raised was about one of the person's behavior. Then it lead to a small discussion, eventually we concluded that, it was not the person's behavior but was intention. Yes, we realized on that day that it was our interpretation that we see others' intention as their behavior. As long we see other's intention as their behavior we will not understand them. It's a fact and I was sharing this to one of my friends, he concluded, unless the 'intention' is not conveyed properly that would lead to the interpretation and be appeared as the 'behavior'. Thanks to those two who took part in this learning..

The World is Primitive..!

On 23rd of June'11 morning, I was watching a program in TLC, the program was covered on life style of one of the tribal groups somewhere in African continent, they seem primitive in their nature and habits but have a great culture. As the TV show covering this program, the presenter who was covering this program has spent few days to understand the life style of the tribals, at the end of the program, while he supposed to leave them, he posed a question to the chief of the tribal group. "What am I suppose to do when I go back to my life again, to be happy and successful" The translator helped him while the chief answered, "You should respect people, your own people, your parents, that is the real meaning of the happiness and success" This is a statement made by a tribal chief, who has little or almost no access to the external world but has a great wisdom. Was he primitive..?
